Santa Fe's Route 66
Throughout 2026, Santa Fe and New Mexico will join the eight-state commemoration of the Centennial Anniversary of Route 66, and you can, too!
Overall, the celebration promises to be a big deal as the appeal of Route 66 to many domestic and international travelers has only grown. Cruise the stretch through Santa Fe, beginning on College Street, now Old Santa Fe Trail, to imagine what car travel was like 100 years ago and marvel at how many businesses and landmarks have withstood the test of time, including La Fonda on the Plaza, the New Mexico Museum of Art, and the historic Santa Fe Plaza.
