How Do I Get To Santa Fe From The Airports?

The Santa Fe Municipal Airport boasts daily direct flights from Denver, Dallas or Phoenix—making for an easy weekend or extended getaway. Once you’ve arrived, you can find two car rental agencies right at the airport so you can begin your Santa Fe adventure right away.

You can also fly into the Albuquerque International Sunport—a short 45 minute drive away from Santa Fe. At the Sunport you can choose from more than seven car rental agencies. If driving a rental car to Santa Fe isn’t your plan you may prefer to take a shuttle. Here Comes The Rail Runner 

The New Mexico Rail Runner (NMRX) is a commuter rail system serving the metropolitan areas of Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico. The train service operates between Albuquerque and Santa Fe seven days a week.

You’ll know you’re at the Rail Runner’s northern terminal (Santa Fe Depot) when you notice bustling activity—an active farmers market, restaurants and cafés, and a range of retail offerings.  Rail Runner fares vary based on number of zones travelled.

Just catch the Santa Fe Trails bus at any of the convenient bus stops along Cerrillos Road. There’s service every 15 minutes, so you’re sure to be in the midst of Santa Fe’s famous attractions in no time—including special events on the Plaza! Plus, from the downtown Transit Center on Sheridan Avenue, you can connect to Route “M” that takes you within a short walk of Canyon Road and directly to Museum Hill—home to four distinct and diverse world-class museums.  Avoid the congestion and the hassle of finding parking when you attend major events in Santa Fe like Spanish Market, Indian Market, the Burning of Zozobra and the Canyon Road Farolito Walk. The Santa Fe Pick-Up shuttle service is a great way for train passengers to get around once they step off the Rail Runner Express at the Santa Fe Depot or for others who want a fast, free way to get around downtown, Museum Hill and Canyon Road. Two shuttles run daily. This is a free shuttle service that starts and ends in front the Jean Cocteau Cinema on Montezuma Avenue and runs counter-clockwise with various stops around downtown.
