GEORGIA O'KEEFFE MUSEUM
Among the artifacts preserved by the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum is the collection of animal bones O’Keeffe used as inspiration for many of her works. This talk will present the zooarchaeological results of a project of Museum Fellow Victoria Monagle, including a detailed overview and photos of which species and bone elements were identified within the collection and how they were portrayed in paintings by O’Keeffe.

MUSEUM OF SPANISH COLONIAL ARTS
The collection of the Spanish Colonial Arts Society numbers some 3700 pieces as of the end of 2015; all but 35 of these pieces were acquired after 1951. Both religious and secular art make up the collection, including bultos, retablos, paintings on canvas, tin, copper, and hide, books and prints, furniture, tinwork, metalwork, textiles, straw appliqué and ceramics.

Alexander Girard was one of the most influential interior and textile designers of the 20th century. Alexander Girard: A Designer’s Universe is the first major retrospective on Girard’s work, organized by the Vitra Design Museum in Germany. Girard was also a pivotal figure in the history of the Museum of International Folk Art, donating more than 100,000 objects from his folk art collection.
